GPS tracking, by nature, is about tracking that which you do not want to lose. Since our inception in 2003, KCS has been involved in this, and eventually we earned a name for our extra anti-theft features.
As an engineering-first company, we continuously refine our battery consumption and tracker size. The idea is that we can have a small tracker node, operating for years in the field on a small battery, while virtually remaining undetectable.
We specialize in modules that have to run for at least 10 years on small batteries, and therefore avoid the enormous overhead in power usage, data consumption, and transmission time involved with MQTT, TLS/SSL, JSON, etc. Instead, we use our own end-to-end encryption, data format, and identification, and only send (delta updates of) information based on events, rather than dumping all available information in every transmission, even data that hasn't changed.
Our trackers have been used by Interpol, police agencies, security and defense, and other government agencies to follow valuable objects. In 2016, we were an early adopter of LoRa, which opened up new long-range theft recovery opportunities. Since then, we've developed proprietary RF long-range technologies as well, and also support Sigfox, BLE, NFC, and other technologies for assisting recovery purposes.
Today, we are very active working with integrators in e-bicycle track & trace theft recovery, including a large telecom project with a national insurance provider where our low-power P3B2 (TM-2016/P3B2) was installed directly on bikes.
Engineered to defeat signal jammers, minimize radio signatures, and ensure critical positioning telemetry reaches recovery teams in real-world scenarios:
Depending on your deployment model, size constraints, and telecommunication requirements, KCS TraceME provides specialized hardware architectures:
High-bandwidth, global positioning modules with cellular fallbacks and rapid telemetry updates:
Ultra-miniature, featherlight trackers designed for zero-subscription private & public LPWAN:
Locating stolen objects requires specialized field tooling. We can also offer recovery beacon handheld scanners to locate tagged assets on the ground, guiding search teams with directional signal strength indicators (RSSI) directly to hidden stolen goods.
Have existing specifications that are mandatory? We can meet your exact operational needs with a custom engineering project, starting with a proof of concept (PoC). Our in-house R&D and production facilities en los Países Bajos allow us to tailor form factors, antenna geometries, sensor payloads, and custom protocol handshakes.
